The Finnish Lapphund dog breed is a medium sized dog that is a Spitz type of dog. In the UK kennel club it belongs in the Pastoral dog group. The Finnish Lapphund dog breed is traditionally used for herding reindeer but has more recently become a popular companion dog.
The Finnish Lapphund is a very active and intelligent breed of dog.
