The Goldendoodle breed of dogs, are a cross breed of a Golden Retriever dog and a Poodle dogs, hence where the name Goodendoodle comes from. Therefore being a cross breed, they are not recognised by any kennel clubs. Goldendoodles have now been bred in North America and Australia since the 1990's and are now being bred throughout the world.
The chatacteristics of the Gooldendoodle are quite similar to the Golden Retriever and the Poodle. They are Intelligent, affable, trainable, very human oriented, yet friendly toward other dogs. Moderately high energy dogs, much like their ancestors. These dogs also love to swim.
