The Hungarian Vizsla breed of dog originates from Hungary. The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla was created in the 1930s by crossbreeding the German Wirhaired pointer with the Hungarian Shorthaird Vizsla. The Vizsla breed is well known for its excellent hunting ability, and also make great family pets.
The Hungarian Vizsla breed are generally loyal and caring dogs which are very active and lively. They are quiet dogs and generally do not bark very much unless provoked. As mentioned, they are very good hunting dogs, being excellent pointers and retrievers as well.
