The Italian Spinine dog breed is also commonly known as the 'Spinone Italiano' and originates from Italy. The Italian Spinone is an ancient breed of dog which can be traced back as far as 500BC. The breed was originally created as a gun dog and is often used for pointing, hunting and retrieving game. In the UK Kennel Club this dog breed is categorised in the 'Gundog' group of dogs.
The Italian Spinone is a very loyal dog and is well known for being very good with and around children.
