The Japanese breed of dog is a small dog which belongs to the 'toy' group of dogs. The origins of this dog breed are still not fully known. Some people say that this breed of dog arrived in Japan near the year 732, which where gifts from the rulers of Korea. Whilst other people say the ancestors of 'Chin' breed come from China.
These dogs are very intelligent and always alert. They are often said to resemble cats, as they are independant and they also use their paws to wash their faces, like cats do.
