The Lakeland Terrier breed of dog originates from the Lake District in England around the 1800's. They are descended from Fell Terriers which where used for hunting vermin.
The Lakeland Terrier dog breed make very good pets as they are excellent with people and children. Lakeland Terriers are very active dogs that love to run around.
