The Lhasa Apso do breed originates from Tibet, and where brought to the UK in 1901 and registered with the Kennel club in 1902. Recent DNA analysis has identified that the Lhasa Apso breed belongs to one of the 14 most ancient dog breeds.
Lhasa Apso's have been bred to be watch dogs in the past, so they tend to have a good sense of hearing and are very alert.
