The Presa Canario breed of dog is a large breed of the Molosser type of dog. The breed originatees from the Canary Islands, just off the coast of Spain. The Presa Canario dog breed was originally bred to be used as a farm dog, where it was used to move cattle and also be a guard dog.
Due to the dogs strong character, this breed benefits well from socialisation and obedience training from a young age.
